NATALIE MATHIS FILMS

Based in Northern KY, bordering Cincinnati, where major Hollywood features are made, Natalie Mathis Films makes independent cinema.

Mathis's work explores the subconscious through a blend of witty and mischievous character-driven drama, surreal visuals, unsettling sound design, and stirring music. She has completed the John Truby Writers Studio coursework and a mentorship with the Independent Film School, where she continues to work in community with filmmakers from around the world. Natalie's first short film, SKUNK, premiered at the 2025 Absurd Art House Film Festival in Kent, UK. SKUNK is an official selection for the 2025 semifinals of the Cannes Indie Shorts Film Festival. Her short film, Cellar (aka "Possum Girl"), is currently in post-production (coming 2026). Natalie practices the art life daily, supports filmmakers in their work, and aspires to deposit lingering niggles into viewers’ subconsciouses as they go about their daily lives.
