Natalie Mathis Films

Based in Northern KY/Cincinnati, where Hollywood features are made, Natalie Mathis Films creates independent cinema. 

Mathis's work explores the subconscious through a mix of witty and mischievous character-driven drama, surreal visuals, unsettling sound design, and stirring music.  She has completed the John Truby Writers Studio coursework and is currently in her second year of fellowship with the NYC-based Independent Film School, collaborating with filmmakers from around the globe. Natalie's first short film, SKUNK, won an award at the 2025 Absurd Art House Film Festival in Kent, UK, and was an official selection for the 2025 semifinals of the Cannes Indie Shorts Film Festival. Her short film, Cellar, is in post-production and is set to release in 2027. Natalie practices the art life daily, supports fellow filmmakers in their work, and aspires to deposit lingering niggles into viewers’ subconsciouses as they navigate their daily lives.
